These rules of conduct are intended to ensure the proper and rational use of the Dog Park. All behaviors must be based on respect for animals and people present, and the use of the areas should also be an opportunity for education for both the animals and their owners.
DEFINITIONS
- Dog Park: A private green area, fully fenced, with an artificial pond inside, periodically mowed, and created for the entertainment and recreation of dogs. Activities prioritizing dogs and their need for free physical exercise are encouraged. The park is divided into two distinct areas by a fence to allow simultaneous use even by dogs that may have behavioral incompatibilities. At the entrance gate, a sign displays the general rules of conduct within the areas, where dogs are allowed off-leash and without a muzzle, provided they are under the constant supervision of their owners, who ensure compliance with the law and the behavioral rules contained herein.
- Users of the Park: All customers of Agriturismo Delizia d’Este, including subscription holders, B&B guests, and pool users.
- Owner/Handler: Any individual who, for any reason, has custody of and brings one or more dogs into the park, duly registered with the canine registry, vaccinated, and insured, and who assumes full civil and criminal responsibility for the behavior of the animals in their custody, even temporarily.
DUTIES AND OBLIGATIONS OF PARK USERS
- In all common areas of Agriturismo Delizia d’Este (e.g., parking lot, bar area, etc.), dogs must always be kept on a leash.
- Access to the park must be evaluated by owners/handlers based on the sex, size, and behavioral characteristics of the dogs to ensure the proper function of the exercise area. It is mandatory to enter the park with dogs on a leash until they have oriented themselves and calmed down before being released to interact with other dogs.
- Dogs may be off-leash only under the constant supervision of the handler and after ensuring there are no behavioral incompatibilities with other dogs present.
- Owners/handlers of overly excitable dogs that repeatedly disturb others, for example, by attempting to mount them, must leave the area or leash the dog until it calms down.
- Each handler is responsible for the dog in their custody. To avoid unmanageable conflicts, each person must assess whether to enter and remain in the park based on the other dogs already present.
- Dogs with behavioral issues must be kept on a leash and/or wear a muzzle.
- If conflicts arise or are anticipated between dogs already in the park and new arrivals, and the separate areas cannot be used, an entering handler may request permission from those already inside. Owners of incompatible dogs must leave the park after a maximum of 30 minutes to allow new arrivals to enter.
- In the case of high attendance at the pond area, up to 10 dogs may be off-leash at the same time. Dogs that have already used the pond must be leashed or moved away.
- If difficulties arise between dogs in a crowded area, owners of aggressive dogs must leave the area with their dog.
- The owner/handler is always responsible for the well-being, control, and conduct of their dog and is civilly and criminally liable for any damages or injuries caused to people, animals, or property.
- To maintain hygiene and park decorum, it is mandatory to immediately collect dog waste and dispose of it in the designated brown bins.
- Owners/handlers must promptly close all external and internal gates when entering or leaving the park.
- Minors may enter only if accompanied by their parents, who are responsible for supervising them, especially near the pond, and ensuring they do not disturb or excite dogs by running or making loud noises.
